The true meaning of modernity for us, is at once to recover the past and divert from it.
Designed to be welcoming, this house aims to gather guests and celebrate on the ground floor, leaving the intimate area on the first floor, shaped as a clean white volume that floats over the living space.
It instills calm through the sobriety and purity of the white materials. Meanwhile, the ground floor finds its movement through the brick´s texture and rusticity.
As a way off celebrating the vernacular Brazilian architecture, this project deliberately explores the use of brick, a natural material that offers durability, stability, energy efficiency and aesthetic features.
O verdadeiro sentido da modernidade, para nós, é ao mesmo tempo recuperar o passado e dele se afastar.
Projetada para ser acolhedora, esta casa busca reunir convidados e celebrar no pavimento térreo, reservando a área íntima no pavimento superior, configurada como um volume branco limpo que parece flutuar sobre o espaço social.
A sobriedade e a pureza dos materiais brancos transmitem calma. Enquanto isso, o térreo ganha movimento pela textura e rusticidade do tijolo.
Como forma de celebrar a arquitetura vernacular brasileira, o projeto explora deliberadamente o uso do tijolo, um material natural que oferece durabilidade, estabilidade, eficiência energética e qualidades estéticas.
