Three strategies guided the development of this project.
First, we retained the building’s original structure, but three large openings were made in the side façade in order to improve the integration of the spaces and allow the bar’s interior to be seen from any exterior perspective.
Second, we created two large monoliths of light, in a gradient with the distinct tones of the beer, contained in hollow polycarbonate boxes. These are intended to encapsulate the volumes of the restroom and cold room and draw the exterior gaze into the bar.
Finally, we paid homage to local production by bringing the factory conduits to form the furniture and canopies. In both restrooms this element was also explored. In one of them, the piping forms an infinite-depth mirror installed on the ceiling, which gives the user the impression of being immersed inside the structure. In the other, we propose an experience with the wheat, which catches the eye through a metal cylinder cut on the diagonal.
We respected the existing materiality with solid bricks, wood, and hydraulic tiles. However, we added large amounts of stainless steel, a material characteristic of brewing vats.
Três estratégias guiaram a construção deste projeto.
Em primeiro lugar, mantemos a estrutura original do edifício porém 3 grandes aberturas foram realizadas na face lateral afim de melhorar a integração dos ambientes, e permitir que o interior do bar fosse visto desde qualquer perspectiva exterior.
Em segundo lugar, criamos dois grandes monólitos de luz, em um degradê com as distintas tonalidades da cerveja, contidas em caixas de policarbonato alveolar. Essas, tem o objetivo de encapsular os volumes do banheiro e câmara fria e atrair o olhar exterior para dentro do bar.
Por fim, homenageamos a produção local, trazendo os condutos da fábrica para conformar o mobiliário e marquises. Nos dois banheiros este elemento também foi explorado. Em um deles, a tubulação conforma um espelho de fundo infinito instalado no teto, que proporciona ao usuário a impressão de estar imerso no interior da estrutura. No outro, propomos ao usuário a experiência com o trigo, que recai os seus olhos através de um cilindro metálico cortado em diagonal.
Respeitamos a materialidade existente com os tijolos maciços, madeira e ladrilhos hidráulicos. Porém adicionamos grandes doses de inox, material característico dos barris cervejeiros.
